Welcome to the E-book Creator! Follow these steps to create your e-book:
1. Book Title, Author & Cover:
- Start by entering your Book Title.
- Enter the Author Name (for Title Page). This name will appear on the title page byline.
- Optionally, upload a Cover Image (JPEG or PNG recommended). This will be used as the EPUB cover.
2. Book Structure:
- Next, go to the "Book Structure" section. Here you can:
- Add new Custom Text Sections.
- Reorder all sections (including Table of Contents, predefined, and custom) using "Up" and "Down" buttons.
- Show or Hide optional predefined sections (Preface, About Author, Appendix, Index) and the Table of Contents. Hidden sections won't appear in your e-book.
- Rename your custom sections.
- Delete custom sections.
- After setting up the structure, use "Next" and "Back" to move through your defined sections to add content.
- The "Current Step" indicator at the top shows where you are.
- You can jump directly to the export options using the "Skip to Export" button.
3. Entering Content:
- Each section (Preface, About Author, Custom Sections, Chapters, etc.) has a dedicated input area. The Table of Contents section is auto-generated and not directly editable.
- Simply type or paste your content into the text boxes. The "About the Author" section is where you can provide a detailed biography, including images.
4. Managing Chapters (within a "Chapters" section):
- When you are editing a "Chapters" section:
- Enter a Chapter Title and its Content.
- Click "Save and Add Another Chapter" to save the current chapter and start a new one within that "Chapters" block.
- Use "Next Chapter" (if available) or "Next Section" to move on.
5. Formatting with Markdown:
You can use Markdown syntax in all content areas for rich formatting. Here are some common examples:
- Headings:
# Heading 1, ## Heading 2, ### Heading 3
- Emphasis:
*italic* or _italic_, **bold** or __bold__
